Volunteer organizations and community service entities can achieve service hour goals and merit accomplishments through service projects. Projects can vary in size and scope, and can either come from the volunteer organization itself or from existing project ideas collected by the City of Pearland, Parks & Recreation. Projects exist within the City of Pearland parks, trails and City facilities. As determined by Parks & Recreation, the project must fulfill a need, benefit the City and the community, fall within City guidelines and must not require a lot of upkeep from the City. General Service Projects can be completed by a wide variety of groups, organizations or individuals. Scout Projects have specific guidelines directed to individuals or groups within the Boy Scouts of America or Girl Scout organizations.
